This ankle of mine has given me quite a headache. .. Everything would improve with the fisiotherapy , with the exercises, but,my ankle stillwouldn’t obey m. And the ankle is essencial for our walking! Me fot would only do as the vídeo shows.
I went to many specialists. Many said it was worth training a little more, trying to teach my brain how to perform the movement. Others would say that we had tried everything possible. They argued that we had already tried everything and more and that it would be a waste of time to make more efforts to have my ankle obey my commands and that it was time for surgical interference. We knew that having cirgury was an extreme move and without return so we tried a little more.
I went to São Paulo to do a few therapies in the AACD Hospital. The good about AACD is that the professionals talk to each other frequently. I spent a month in São Paulo. My day began early in the morning and I only returned from the hospital at night. I did everything over there. Water therapies, walking trainings with a robot called Lokomat, therapies for my arms also with robots and therapistss and many other therapies. I had many advances in AACD; I began using new walking aids and received new directions.
